Seahorse information

During reproduction usually the male seahorses carry the eggs. They are normmaly found in tropical and temperate waters all acorss the world. Because of the way they look people do not consider them fish but in reality they are. Every morning, seahorse couples enagae in ritualistic dances to greet each other, they move throguh intricate,rhytmc sequences of twists and twirls for minutes to hours on end.

The smallest seahorse is just 14mm long! Seahorses like long-term relationships. They are terrible swimmers but, they loove to catch free rides.They also do not have stomachs but they have big appetites.Seahoreses are also masters of disguise.

Seahorses are normally caugt unintentionally by fisheries. They are targeted because they can be sold as pets or used in medicine. Many of the shallow-water enviormenst where the seahorses live are usually affected by human impact and because id that it includes climate change, plastic pollution and sedimentation.

During the male seahrses pregnacies that can last up to 5 weeks the female returns to the male each day and they both partake in a "morning greeting."

Seahorses are bad swimmers. What makes them different from other swimmers in the sea is that they swim upright. When a storm hit, because they are so delicate they get very exhuasted that they die. But they are really good at anchoring themselves to corals and grasses.

Seahorses have very good eyesight and their eyes are able to work independently. That means that they can look forwards and backwards at the same time. They have a very short lifespan.
If humans touch seahorses or manipulate them it can cause abrasions or even parts of their body.
